The story tells us about Josie’s relationship with her great-great-grandma. Josie and her family return to their homeland of Senegal, Africa. As a result of the trip and her experiences, Josie better understands her family, where they come from, and the song that her great-great grandmother sings to her. (McGraw-Hill Imagine It!, 2008)
