Roberto Clemente grew up in Puerto Rico where he discovered a love and passion for baseball, and became a famous Hall of Fame baseball player who shared his success with his family, friends, and the community by always being kind and helping others in need. He died in a plane crash trying to help victims of an earthquake in Nicaragua. (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt StoryTown, 2008)
