J. Lyn Cannaday is a National Board Certified Teacher who has taught high school English and social studies in Phoenix schools. She has piloted close reading units in her classroom and was involved in developing the Qualitative Scale for Text Complexity as part of Student Achievement Partners' Race to the Text Project in 2012.
Lyn is a Core Advocate. Core Advocates are educators from across the country who work closely with Student Achievement Partners to develop, curate, and review CCSS resources for teachers and who are eager to support their colleagues in understanding and owning the standards as part of their practice.
