This personal narrative introduces the genre of a diary to the students.  “My Diary from Here to There,” takes the reader on the emotional journey of a little girl named Amada.  In hopes of finding new job opportunities, her family is forced to leave the comforts of the familiar and travel to a new country.  (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Trophies, 2005)
