Tanya Hill

Tanya Hill is a National Board Certified Reading and Language Specialist with 25 years in education. Mrs. Hill currently serves as an Instructional Advisor for the English as a Second Language Department for Memphis-Shelby County Schools in Memphis, TN. Mrs. Hill is currently pursuing an Education Doctorate in Instructional Leadership from Union University while serving as Secretary for the National Board Network for Accomplished Minoritized Educators where she provides targeted professional learning on culturally responsive teaching practices for specialized populations. Mrs. Hill was awarded 2020 West Tennessee TESOL Teacher of the Year and her passion for teaching was featured in Chalkbeat TN as part of their "How I Teach" series in October 2016.
