For September, we welcomed Lorena Germán, for a discussion on Going beyond Representation: Planning for Meaningful BIPOC Inclusion in Your Curriculum. Lorena is a Dominican American educator living in Austin, TX. In addition to being a classroom teacher, she works with teachers and schools supporting them to enact an anti racist pedagogy. She's Co-Founder of #DisruptTexts, Co-Founder of Multicultural Classroom, and the current Chair for NCTE's Committee Against Racism & Bias in the Teaching of English.  Lorena shared her thoughts on going beyond representation as we work to include diverse voices and perspectives in our curriculum.
