Black Cowboy, Wild Horses - Includes Sample Writing Task
This lesson includes scaffolded analytical writing tasks that provide examples for teaching Common Core writing.
Bob Lemmons, an African American cowboy, uses his skills of reading the land and the horses to imbed himself in a herd of wild mustangs. Once there, he is able to lead the herd back to a corral at the ranch. (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Reading, 2005)
