Leanna Oen

Project Manager

she/her/hers

What I work on: As a project manager at Student Achievement Partners, I lead projects to create tools and resources that align with the organization’s strategic goals and mission. Specially, I use my project management training to bring to fruition projects that align with equitable design principles that center Black students and English Learners.

Why I work here: I was raised to deeply value education and critical thought. Education can be a pathway and key for students to become self-actualized and engaged with their communities, both local and global.

My education and experience: I have worked in academic administration for the past 10 years, as a study abroad coordinator and as a project manager for teacher licensure assessments. I received my BA in English and Art History from the University of Denver and my MA in Visual and Critical Studies from the California College of the Arts. I have a Project Management certificate from Georgetown and am a certified PMP.

More about me: I live in Western Massachusetts, although I am originally from California. I enjoy reading, painting, playing video games, and hanging out with my dog, Bebop.

A quote that inspires me: “It is healing behavior, to look at something broken and see the possibility and wholeness in it.” – Adrienne Maree Brown
