In “The Jade Peony,” a Chinese-Canadian family engages in the delicate dance of retaining the old life while adjusting to the new. The story is about a young Chinese-Canadian boy named Sek-Lung who tells the story of the times he spent creating a special wind chime with his Grandmama. (Prentice Hall Literature, 2010)
