About this Lesson

In this lesson, second grade students revisit a grade-level, informational text about volcanoes. Students review text-based vocabulary, return to the anchor text with a partner to reread and gather evidence about text-based questions, and close the lesson by sharing across partnerships. The anchor text used in this lesson is “Volcanoes” by Sandra Markle and is included in the Literature Anthology of the Wonders curriculum used by this teacher.
