- Files
Bex Mui facilitated a nuanced panel discussion with a teacher, a principal, and an LGBTQ+ professional learning facilitator to understand their approaches and learn actionable strategies for creating safe and affirming learning spaces for LGBTQ+ students. The panelists' work is centered on grades K-5 but is adaptable and open to all educators.
Panelists included:
- Star Taylor, Program Manager at Philadelphia Academy of School Leaders
- Meredith Lowe, Principal at the School District of Philadelphia
- Asha Nidumolu, Teacher at Oakland Unified School District
Teachers looking to bring more intersectional LGBTQ+ representation into their classrooms should check out this bundle of ELA/literacy and mathematics resources.
