This is a literary text about a little girl named Maria who instead of telling the truth, panics and tries to cover up a problem. Maria’s family makes tamales for Christmas and while making the tamales, Maria thinks she loses her mother’s ring in the masa. Unable to find the ring, Maria tells her mother that she lost the ring and learns her mother had it all along.
