For this month’s Coffee and Conversation, our guest Dr. Adrian Mims joined us to talk about what it means to create equitable opportunities for students to learn challenging mathematics and discussed the critical role teachers of all grades play in centering the brilliance of Black and Latinx students. Dr. Mims also shared some concrete steps and strategies he has used to reinforce high expectations for students, help them develop their mathematical identities, and invite families to be collaborators in helping them achieve academically.
